olympic goldfish with a twist

This is picture is at the Ocracoke beach. I love that place. Beautiful.

I've been watching the olympics for the past few weeks. This is the first olympics that I've actually been able to watch most of. In the past, I was either too little to remember, or had band camp, college... whatever. So, I've really enjoyed watching this year. I have to say that I admire Michael Phelps, but I hate all of the publicity that goes along with his success.

So... I'm attending RTS this fall. I'm super excited about it. I think it will be a great time to grow, learn, and fellowship. I'm really really looking forward to my classes. I've only been to one so far and it was so so good.

Yesterday I bought goldfish. They are so neat. I've been wanting fish for an aquarium instead of just for a tiny bowl. So, now I have both. And my mom bought some for her little pond/bucket thing outside. I'm trying to decide what to name mine. One of them is Ellery after Annie Dillard's fish, Ellery Channing (and that fish was named after Thoreau's friend, William Ellery Channing...).

I'm almost finished reading Pilgrim at Tinker Creek. It's taken me about a year to read it, but it is wonderful. I love her.
