10 seconds of wonder.

found this in one of my moleskins. I wrote it back in the fall. 

a little bird just flew by 

and sat on the bird bath

and gave me the eye. 

it perched on the side

and shyly stood by,

as i watched for ten seconds

from the corner of my eye.
